I moved to the village of Longbridge Deverill in the spring of 2023 with my wife on our return to UK from 10 years living in Adelaide, South Australia. We knew the area fairly well having previous lived on the south side of Bath for over 20 years. I continue to work full time as a principal consultant at a large engineering consultancy, focusing in on complex programme management and business change. I served in the Royal Navy for 34 years and having held senior executive roles in a number of organisations. I feel very privileged to have joined our community with its outstanding countryside and nature. My interest in being a member of our parish council is to support work that contributes to our community thriving out into the future whilst looking after the countryside that pays such an important part of our lives. I am often to be seen working in our garden or walking our dogs.

David is a Chartered Civil engineer, retired but last worked for Network Rail managing bridge structural assessments .I have lived in Crockerton with my wife Linda for the last 54 years.
