Welcome to the Longbridge Deverill Parish Council Website
Your representatives
The Parish Council is the first tier of Local Government and is the representative body for the Parish of Longbridge Deverill, which includes the villages of Hill Deverill and Crockerton. We report to Wiltshire Council on a range of issues which include Planning, Highways, Rights of Way, Community safety to name but a few.
Addressing your concerns
Many issues and concerns - for example fly tipping and pot holes - can be reported to Wiltshire Council, directly by parishioners, via the My Wiltshire app. Click here to visit the Wiltshire Council website Booking and Reporting page. This is often the quickest way to report a problem and the system will acknowledge your report. However, please feel free to discuss and pass on your concerns to the Parish Council Clerk or any of the Parish Councillors. You will find their contact details on the Councillors page here.
Meetings
Parish Council meetings are held on the 1st Monday of every other month at Longbridge Deverill Village Hall at 7pm. There is a public participation session at the start of every meeting and residents are welcome to come along to raise any issues that you may wish to discuss. Meeting dates, agendas and minutes can be found here.
Applying for grants
Annually, the Parish Council is able to award small grants to local groups. If you would like your organisation to be considered for a grant please contact us (link to the contact page) for more information.
Keeping you posted
Other recent Parish achievements include the establishment of two community speed watch teams and the introduction of 2 speed indicator devices, which are used throughout the Parish at various locations.
